Bancroft Wine & Martini Bar opens in Saginaw

The Bancroft Building in downtown Saginaw has been a hot spot for success stories about new development in an old town.

The latest in that saga is the opening of the Bancroft Wine and Martini Bar, on the first floor of the building. It has been open since September and is an early commercial tenant in the building, which has top floors being renovated into apartments; the Bancroft Luxury Apartments. However, next door is Bancroft Coffee and Tea, which also opened in September and is under the same management.

The wine and martini bar offers its namesake drinks, as well as beer, cocktails and a food menu including locally-sourced items like crostini from Napolitano Bakery, as well as Michigan craft beers among the 30 on offer. The food focuses on small-plate style dining like flatbreads, olives and salads.

The historic Bancroft Building is at the corner of South Washington and East Genesee streets in Old Town Saginaw. The Bancroft Wine and Martini Bar is open every day at 4 p.m. until close.
