Local furniture store chain
Godwin's Furniture and Mattress says it is opening a new store in Bad Axe. It will be the ninth location for the store, based in Saginaw.
The new location is at the former Murray's Furniture in Bad Axe. It joins Godwin's stores in Flint, Lapeer, Linwood, Midland, Mount Pleasant, Owosso and Saginaw.
Godwin's is a family owned and operated business, with three generations currently working in the company. It was founded by Welsh immigrants Gethin and George Godwin on State Street in Saginaw in 1948.
