3S International, an electronics recycling company based in Mt. Pleasant, announced it will be led by a new president and chief operating officer, John Van Fossen.
Van Fossen will oversee management and daily operations at 3S International, and plan for the company's future growth and expansion. 3S plans to open six to ten new facilities across the Midwest over the next few years.
Previously, Van Fossen served as the director of government affairs at Barnes and Thornburg. He also has been chief of staff for Congressman Peter Hoekstra and served in several governmental roles in Michigan. He has a master's degree in public administration from Western Michigan University.
3S specializes in recycling hazardous LCD and mercury-containing products on a large scale and addressing e-recycling issues.
