Flint Cultural Center names new interim CEO

Prima Civitas president Michael K. Brown is taking on another big leadership role in the mid-Michigan region as he has been appointed as the interim president and CEO of the Flint Cultural Center Corporation.

It's a primarily advisory role, and Brown will stay on at Prima Civitas, since the cultural center will continue to look for a permanent president and CEO. He will advise the center on organizational governance, hiring, use of its recently acquired properties, and financial and operational guideposts.

Brown brings a lot of experience to the position, having served as president and director for the Flint Area Reinvestment Office, president of the United Way of Genesee and Lapeer Counties, executive director of the American Red Cross of Genesee and Lapeer Counties, and executive VP of public policy for the Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce.
