Wildfire Credit Union announced it has added one new employee and promoted another.
The new hire is John Harken, who will serve as the credit union's VP of business services. He brings more than 28 years of experience in the financial industry to the new role.
Harken has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Michigan University and an MBA in strategic management from Davenport University. He also attended the Robert M. Perry School of Banking and the Saginaw Chamber of Commerce Leadership Saginaw program.
Promoted was Courtney Douponce, who will be stepping into the role of commercial loan officer at Wildfire. She has been with the credit union since 2010 and has 10 years of experience in the industry. She earned a bachelor's degree in business management at Northwood University and an MBA from Saginaw Valley State University. She's also a graduate of Leadership Bay County.
Both are part of Wildfire Credit Union's business services team. Harken will work out of the credit union's Midland branch on Joseph Drive, and Douponce will work at the Bay Road Saginaw branch.
