Midland students win state coding contest

It's pretty cool when local young talent can beat out professionals to win an award, which is what happened with some Midland students who won coding awards in a recent state contest that encouraged app developers to enter.

Excerpt: A group of Midland High School students won two awards for mobile apps designed for Michigan's state government.

The state's first-ever "Code Michigan" event — put on by Michigan's Department of Technology, Management and Budget — ran Oct. 4-6 and was hosted at the Madison Building in Detroit.
