Midland golf course makes transition to nature trails

A former, closed-down golf course along the Saginaw River is now becoming part of the greening of the city, as it will become connected to nature trails with the help of wildlife groups.

Excerpt: The former Germania Golf Course, adjacent to a hard-pressed residential Saginaw neighborhood, was acquired by The Nature Conservancy through a gift from The Dow Chemical Co. and transferred to the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge earlier this month.
