Former Central Michigan University stars sign as NFL undrafted free agents

When the NFL owners and players decided to start being nice to one another (and the fans) and get their 2011 season underway, it was a given that a lot of undrafted players would get some attention. But, it still came as a pleasant surprise when five Central Michigan University players signed their name on the line and earned a chance to make an NFL squad this fall.

Excerpt: Five former Central Michigan University football players were part of a signing frenzy when the National Football League allowed its teams to sign undrafted free agents Tuesday.

Star linebacker Nick Bellore was rumored to be headed to Denver, but opted to sign with the New York Jets.

In 2010, Bellore had 90 tackles, seven for losses. He also had one sack, one interception, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery.
